Born and raised in Kolkata, India, she always dreamed of flying high, moving abroad, and discovering new places. Keeping her dreams alive, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Calcutta University and did a Diploma in Travel and Tourism. After getting her degrees, she set her first foot into the corporate world at Thomas Cook & Westside (a Tata enterprise) as Store Manager.

While she was doing well in India, one of her dreams was still yet to be fulfilled, and to realize that dream, she moved to Canada and got herself a Business Management Degree. This degree opened her door to Purdys Chocolate, a 100 year old Canadian Company. She worked there as their assistant manager for many years.

While being in Canada, she has traveled to places like Toronto, Niagara (ON), Quebec City (QC), Calgary, Banff, and Jasper (AB) and has lived in Calgary and Vancouver. Finally, she is settled in Regina, Saskatchewan. Through all these travels, she has gained immense knowledge about the places, their regulations, lifestyles, and opportunities. This makes her a mini encyclopedia of Canada.

Well, it might sound like a fairytale, but coming to Canada wasn’t a slice of cake for her. Belonging to a middle-class family in India, moving to Canada was a big step in her life, and she had to go through a lot of challenges before landing in Canada. Having gone through the process and hardships, she wanted to help others going through the same. This is exactly what gave her the motivation to become an RCIC.

As a matter of fact, she pursued the educational requirements to become a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant because she wanted to help others who wanted to immigrate to Canada. She acquired her license as RCIC after passing the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants(CICC) exam. This accomplishment served as the starting point of Soma Sarkar’s career as an immigration consultant.

With her license in hand, Soma started her career as an RCIC, offering clients from all over the world complete immigration services, including those involving applications for skilled workers, family sponsorships, business immigration, student visas, and humanitarian applications. Her sole aim is to be devoted to clients’ happiness while maintaining professionalism and dedication.

As an RCIC, Soma Sarkar keeps up with changes to Canada’s immigration rules and regulations. To guarantee that she gives her clients the most precise and recent information possible, she actively takes part in continuing education programs, goes to conferences, and engages in professional development activities.
